this week could be one of my more interesting weeks: 2 pep bands, 4 7:15am rehearsals, one mentor coming to observe me, one jazz contest, one show choir contest with my backup band, and countless attempts to teach stuff that i think is useful. notice how i say "attempt" instead of oozing confidence.
in other news, i have a strange ability to pick out pieces to rehearse with my band that will eventually be chosen as honor band songs. i'm taking 6 HS-ers to BVU honor band and the already know one of the pieces. this happened at the NCIBA honor band earlier this year. yeah, i'm pretty psychic. anyway, its the most obscure piece- i'm not really sure why i picked it -John Williams in Concert- but it sounds cool. wow. 'it sounds cool?"! i don't think dmg would have taken that answer in SIL. well, cool seems to be the only word i can think about right now.
i've been biking up a storm. i think at this rate i could have been to brazil by now. i'm reading a book suggested by aubrey- My Name is Asher Lev - its fantastic. i am only halfway so don't ask me how it ends.
