i love how drinking a pot of coffee makes you super productive. it's like i'm a cleaning super-hero.

my aunt gave me her espresso machine. i am out of milk so i decided to wait to take it out on a test run. today's memorial day so most of the town is shut down.

it's three right now and i've accomplished so much today.
~i led my band in memorial day performances at 2 local cemeteries (9am-11:30am)
~i made small talk with the locals and the bus driver
~i watched a movie
~i cleaned and mopped my kitchen and bathroom
~i reorganized my bookshelf
~i sorted the recycling
~i iced my ankle (.... i'm getting old.)
~i made a pot of coffee :)
~i ordered my brother's bday gift online
~i organized my computer desk

the rest of my day will be spent prepping for class tomorrow, finishing my library book so i can return it on time tomorrow, biking... if my ankle allows it, playing scrabble online with my sister, and potentially finishing the bottle of wine i opened last night.

hmmmm. this is going to be the longest summer of my life.

the kids leave on thursday at 1:15. i work friday and a half day on saturday. then.... i get to move out of my office, prep music for summer band lessons, clean my band room (nightmare!!!), and hopefully (successfully) attend the friday night party without making a fool out of myself....
