it just isn't getting easier to come back here after visiting home. i'm not sure what it is. perhaps i'm just extremely emotional these days. i'm missing out on so much. today, i missed out on a family dinner and afternoon together because i had to get back for a community band rehearsal. was it worth it? i'm not sure- i enjoyed playing my flute again... but, well, you know.

i'm so pathetic.

in other news, i've been looking for kittens on a variety of humane society websites. it is both depressing and exciting to see the pictures of the kitties. they are so cute and beautiful. i really want a pet- i'm just hesitant to make the first step. i'm not sure why...

well, another week is here. yay for mondays... jk
this week i'm taking my jazz band to a workshop/clinic. hopefully, we will all learn a ton about jazz techniques and styles. i could definately use a little help. how overwhelming!
